The Dress Code
While the Brazilian coast is renowned for its relaxed atmosphere, the evening hours at luxury casino resorts demand a shift in attire. Resort casual is acceptable during the day. However, after 7:00 PM, gentlemen are encouraged to wear collared shirts and tailored trousers, while ladies often opt for elegant evening wear. The grand casino floors strictly prohibit beachwear or athletic attire.
Casino Floor Conduct
Elegance is key. Maintain a composed demeanor regardless of the game's outcome. Loud behavior or excessive celebration is generally frowned upon in high-stakes areas. Always ask before joining a table, and respect the dealer's pace.
Tipping Protocols
In Brazil, a 10% service charge is usually included in restaurant bills. However, for exceptional service at a high-end resort, leaving an additional tip for the concierge, valet, or private server is a customary gesture of appreciation. Casino dealers are also tipped when leaving the table after a successful session.
Reservations
Spontaneous dining is a rarity at Michelin-starred resort restaurants. We strongly advise securing your reservations weeks in advance, preferably through the hotel's concierge service prior to your arrival.
